In a SABC News Exclusive, two prison staff have been arrested at the Goodwood Correctional Centre in Cape Town on charges relating to corruption and the smuggling of drugs and other contraband. The officials were arrested by the Hawks after their morning parade. The Department of Correctional Services says it’s intensifying efforts to rid prisons of corruption, and staff who solicit money from offenders.
