Today’s guest: Annaliese Kibler
Annaliese has been a consumer for over 20 years. She is a plant scientist and an avid ambassador of Cannabis. Annaliese completed a BSc. and MSc. in Plant Biotechnology & Agriculture from the University of Guelph, with a focus on medicinal and endangered plant species.
She began her career in cannabis production & research when the MMPR first came into effect in 2014.
In 2015 she started at Aurora Cannabis, supervising the Client Care department, and since 2017, has been focused on Regulatory Affairs for the organization and is currently the Director of Regulatory Affairs.
Annaliese is a former co-chair of Women Grow in Vancouver, and a co-founder and VP of Operations at CaneXions, hosting and supporting events for womxn in the cannabis industry. She sits on advisory boards for ACMLA, CWIC and volunteers at MCC. She is an international speaker and has presented at a variety of events on the topics of regulations, compliance, plant sciences, and patient advocacy.
In 2020 she purchased a 7-acre farm with her husband just outside of Edmonton, AB, and they received their Industrial Hemp Licence to become a certified Canadian Hemp Farmer!
