The US DEA sent a letter this week classifying Alt Noids as Schedule 1, the same category marijuana falls into. Previously, the DEA had said as long as hemp derivatives occur naturally in the plant, they were legal; but now that’s been turned upside and companies are going to have to tread lightly until more information comes and actions steps are taken.
